Payment Options Made Easy

Here are some convenient ways to settle your property tax bill:

  • In Person:  For those who prefer a face-to-face interaction, head down to the Municipal Hall located at 5806 Beach Avenue. They accept cash, cheque, debit card, or money order (remember, credit cards are not an option). Just be sure to visit during their operating hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding statutory holidays.
  • Mail it In:  The traditional method is still alive and well!  Simply mail your payment using the address provided on your tax notice.
  • Online Banking:  For the tech-savvy homeowner, online banking offers a quick and convenient option.  Use the last eight digits of your Roll Number located on your tax notice to ensure your payment is applied correctly.

The Homeowner Grant

British Columbia offers a helping hand to homeowners through the Homeowner Grant program. This grant can significantly reduce your property tax burden, so it's definitely worth claiming!

Who Qualifies?

To be eligible for the Homeowner Grant, you need to meet a few basic criteria:

  • Be the legal owner (or a spouse/relative of the deceased owner) of the property.
  • Hold permanent resident status in British Columbia.
  • Occupy the property listed on the tax notice as your primary residence.
  • Not have claimed a homeowner grant on another property in BC for the same year.

Qualify for Even More Savings?

There's an Additional Homeowner Grant available for those who meet one of the following conditions:
