District of West Kelowna, BC

The District of West Kelowna includes a very diverse landscape, with agriculture, forest, businesses and residential properties nestled between Mountains and the Okanagan lake. Clean air, water, green space and a good climate makes West Kelowna a desirable place to live and work.  It is comprised of two different communities and governments. West Kelowna incorporated into its own District Municipality in December 2007, after being part of the Central Okanagan Regional District. The other community and government is the Westbank First Nation which is proud to be on the leading edge of aboriginal people.

Location

West Kelowna is located on Hwy 97across the William Bennet Bridge - 12 kms from downtown Kelowna. Penticton  is 45 kms away.  Kamloops - 186 kms via Hwy 97. Vancouver is 446 kms via the Hope-Princeton Hwy and 380 kms via Coquihalla Hwy.
